Angel holds a Bachelor of Music degree with Honours from the Faculty of Music of the University of Toronto, specializing in the Music Education program, majoring in Piano. Angel’s interests in her undergraduate education remained in music education, especially piano pedagogy. Throughout her studies at the University of Toronto, Angel received several Faculty of Music In-Course Scholarships and Awards. She was the recipient of the Kenneth and Helen Bray Scholarship in Music Education in 2013, the Percy Faith Award in 2014, and the William Croombs Memorial Scholarship in 2015.
Angel is enthusiastic about providing music education to people of all ages. She strikes a balance between supportive and challenging tones in her teaching to engage her students. She wants to share her love for music with others by helping her students achieve artistic excellence, stimulating imagination and creativity, ultimately promoting a lifelong relationship with music and a culture of music appreciation in her students. Outside of lessons, Angel is an accompanist on the organ at the Chinese Martyrs Catholic Church.
